Consumption

Although we have had a warm winter, it's always good to see some sunny spring/summer weather. When it comes to thinking about the seasons, it is really about the different kinds of cycles.

Spring brings lives and flourishments
Summer brings energy and excitement
Autumn is brings growth and reflection
Winter brings rest and reorientation

In nature, plants converts the energy from the sun and the environment to forms that can be consumed by animals, either in the form of food or, with technological advancement, fuel. Because us humans are on the higher end of the food chain, we have the choice and power to use these sources. And of course, it is so much easier to consume resources than to create or even discover them.

In a way it works the same way in the modern society. It took generations of hard work, resources, and sometimes lives to build a society or civilization, but to those who're unappreciative of what we have, it is just something to be taken advantage of. Where will it end?
